I stopped in for dinner on a whim with my family. It was my first visit, but certainly won't be my last. The atmosphere was inviting, the service exceptional. And the food was splendid! We started with a cheese board featuring three different cheeses and various toppings. For our main courses, I had the seafood special -- a fish filet wrapped around lump crab meat and shrimp, served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was outstanding. My wife had a lobster ravioli, and my mom had a salmon risotto. Although we skipped dessert (the portions are quite copious), we saw a nearby couple sharing a dessert which looked good. I highly recommend this restaurant for its excellent service, enjoyable atmosphere, reasonable prices, and most of all, its delicious food.

We held our daughter's baby shower at the Gables at Chadds Ford today. To say that it was amazing is an understatement. Carol and Jess were spectacular. They made us feel so special and they were absolutely wonderful. The food was amazing. The place was immaculate. We would highly recommend this venue for any special events you are planning.

Eating at the Gables is always a great experience. As it was cold and snowing outside, I decided to skip the salad entree and go straight for something warm, so I ordered the Oyster Po'Boy. I consider myself an oyster snob. I love Chincoteague Oysters and have been to New Orleans 4 times. The Gables Oyster Po'Boy is second to none. The oysters are a decent size, moist, tender, lightly breaded and fried. Perfection! And Ann's Espresso Chocolate Cake is Heaven!

Brought my aunt here for dinner. The hostess and the first waitress who assisted us were not terribly friendly but this one waitress who waited our table (Her name was Cheyenne) was so warm and kind. Her wonderful sense of professionalism and the great food made up for the odd service we received at the start. Would definitely consider coming here again.

I booked the Stone House for a small (25 people) birthday party for my Mom recently and couldn’t be more happy with the service. Kayla worked with me every step of the way to make sure my event was within my budget and met my expectations. The day of staff were fantastic and kind. The food was great and everyone kept complimenting the whole event. I’d definitely recommend The Gables for an event and will be back for dinner again soon.

We had our engagement party here and it was a dream. Kayla made the process so easy & care free. We are not huge planners but she helped us every step of the way. She was very flexible and accommodating for us. The day of the party everything turned out beautiful. The space is so comfortable and picture perfect! The food and drinks were phenomenal, all of our friends had a wonderful time!

Place was very clean and inviting. The music was pretty solid as well. The drinks for brunch were reasonably priced and the food as well with very generous portions. Was checked on quite a few times for not only our food but the drinks as well. Staff was super friendly and very inviting. The meatballs was meatballs inside of a French onion soup type which shocked and awed me. The shrimp and grits are top five I've ever had, and the French toast was flavorful and fluffy. This might just be a staple for brunch in the upcoming future.

Went there late on a Sunday. They were short staffed so our wait was longer than it would usually be and they were also out of some food items. That being said, our server was very kind, our drinks were awesome, and when the food came out our taste buds were pleased. I don't have any complaints for the food. Presentation was nice, food was delicious, and at the end our Irish Coffees has a nice "splash" of Jameson :)
